- You need of Mushroom.
- You need of capsicum(cut into cube size).
- It's of onion (cut into cube size).
- Prepare of Whole spices (1 cinnamon stick,3 cloves,2 bay leaves).
- It's of oil.
- Prepare of butter.
- Prepare of curd or heavy cream.
- Prepare of chili powder.
- You need of coriander powder.
- You need of turmeric powder.
- Prepare of Salt as per taste.
- It's of Kasuri methi/Dry mint leaves.
- It's of Saute and grind :.
- It's of big onion.
- You need of cashews.
- You need of tomato.
- Prepare of ginger.
- It's of garlic cloves.
- It's of green chili.
- It's of For the Kadai Masala Powder.
- Prepare of Coriander seeds.
- It's of cumin seeds.
- Prepare of red chilli.
- You need of pepper.
- It's of clove, 1 cinnamon.
- You need of bay leaf.
Kadai Mushroom gravy step by step
- Wash and clean the mushrooms nicely and pat dry with paper towel/cloth..
- Dry roast all kadai masala ingredients and grind to fine powder and set aside..
- Then slice the mushrooms and keep aside. Cut all other veggies and keep it ready..
- In a pan, add 1 tbsp oil,sliced onion,tomato,ginger, garlic,green chili and saute until it turns mushy. Keep it aside to cool down completely..
- In the same pan, add 1 tbsp oil and saute few cubed onions,capsicum for 1 min and set aside. Then add sliced mushroom and saute for 2 mins and set aside..
- Add few cashews into the previously sauteed onion tomato mixture and grind to smooth paste..
- In a kadai, add 1 tbsp oil,butter,whole spices and let it splutter. Then add the ground paste and saute for 2 mins..
- Add salt,chili, turmeric,coriander powder, 1 tbsp kadai masala and mix well. Then add the sauteed mushrooms, heavy cream or thick curd(beat the curd well before adding),little water to adjust consistency and cook for 5 mins..
- Add the sauteed onion and capsicum, kasuri methi or dry mint leaves and mix well..
- Now the most delicious, spicy kadai mushroom is ready. It can be served with Chapathi,Naan Parota, Jeera rice..
