- It's of celery with leaves.
- It's of carrot.
- You need of dried red chili (if you want spicy flavor).
- Prepare of sesame oil (or veg. oil).
- It's of sugar.
- You need of mirin/sweet cooking sake.
- It's of soy sauce.
- It's of salt.
- Prepare of katsuobushi/bonito flakes for dashi (Okay to leave out).
Celery & Carrot Kimpira Stir-fry instructions
- Slice the celery stalks into 1 cm diagonal pieces. Mince the leaves and set aside. Cut the carrot into thin matchsticks..
- Heat oil in a frying pan. Add the celery stalks and carrots. Stir fry for a few minutes on medium until the celery and carrots are starting to get a little softer..
- Add the sugar, mirin, soy sauce and salt. Keep stir frying until almost all of the liquid evaporates..
- Add the chopped up celery leaves and stir fry for another 1 - 2 minutes..
- Lastly put in a handful of katsuobushi (if you have it), mix and it's done 〜♪.
