- Dry roast the samolina on medium flame well. Keep aside..
- In the same pan heat the ghee. Fry peanuts and keep aside..
- Then in same pan add mustard seeds,cumin seeds,asafoetida, green chilli, red chilli, curry leaves and turmeric. Stir well..
- Add udad dal. Stir till it becomes golden. Then add onion stir till it becomes golden. Add grated ginger and stir well. Now add tomatoes and sauté till it completely cooked..
- Now add 2.5 cup water. Stir well. Add salt and 1/2 tsp sugar(optional)..
- When water comes to boil add roasted rava and peanuts. Stir continuously and mix well..
- Then cover with the lid for 2 to 3 minutes..
- Upma is ready to serve. Switch off the gas. Garnish with chopped coriander, fine sev and sprouts. Serve with lemon pickle..
