  6. It's 2 cup of ricotta cheese.
  7. It's 4 cup of shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  8. You need 4 of finely chopped serrano chiles.
  9. It's 1 of small finely chopped onion.

In a Dutch oven, cook sausage, ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until well browned. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and water. Arrange the noodles in a single layer over the meat sauce. Spread ½ cup of the ricotta cheese, on top of the noodles followed by shredded mozzarella cheese.

  1. Brown ground beef with chiles and onion in fry pan until well cooked..
  2. In the bottom of a casserole dish ladel some spaghetti sauce then place a single layer of the cooked pasta..
  3. Add another ladel of spaghetti sauce then add a layer od the ground beef..
  4. Spoon cottage cheese over the meat then add another layer of pasta. Continue these steps making a total of 4-5 layers and adding a layer of the cheese mix in the middle layer..
  5. When you lay out the last layer of pasta spoon over them the last of the spaghetti sauce then sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top and place in the oven at 325 for about 30 minutes or until the cheese is melted golden deliciousness.

Repeat the layers and top with cheese. Here's another excellent way to round out your dinner: pair the lasagna with a wedge salad. A wedge salad provides a crunchy contrast to the softness of lasagna. To make: top a wedge of iceberg lettuce with ranch dressing, blue cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and chives. Garnish with potato chip crumbs for a nice salty surprise.
