Add oil to a pan and heat, add cumin and let it splutter,add ginger paste or grated ginger and fry till you smell good. - Cook until the potatoes are covered with the masala and have taken the flavour [Cook on low-medium flame..
- Once done, let it cook for a bit..
- Heat your snack toast maker..
- Add small-ish dollop of butter..
- On a bread slice, spread some of the potatoes and put some cheese..
- Cover with the 2nd slice..
- Now put the sandwich in the maker and put small dollops of butter on them..
- Close the sandwich maker and let it cook until nice and crisp..
- Serve with green chutney or ketchup..
- I got to hear about Canola oil recently when the company was gracious enough to send me a sample to cook with.
