Recipe: Appetizing Yam ball

Delicious, fresh and tasty.

Yam ball. Using a tablespoon, scoop a little of the mixture at a time and mould into balls. Heat a little oil in a large frying pan, roll the yam balls in the seasoned flour and fry for a few minutes until golden brown. Drain on kitchen paper and keep them warm while cooking the rest of the mixture.

It is delicious and makes perfect snacks for any time of the day. Fluffy mashed yam moulded into balls with other deliciousness and covered in breadcrumbs before deep-fried until golden and crunchy on the outside. Ever since our Taiwan trip last November, I've been thinking about those tasty yam and taro balls from Jiufen. They were bouncy, chewy, and full of yam and taro flavour.

Yam ball instructions

  1. Chop tomatoes, onion, pepper, fry to make a sauce add ur seasoning cube, ginger, garlic paste nd spices, use little oil when you making the sauce, make sure the water in the sauce is almost dry,.
  2. Then set aside...in a pan saute onions and garlic in little oil add the minced meat and spice up to ur taste once it's brown in colour put on heat,.
  3. In a bowl mix the cooked minced meat and tomatoes sauce together...set aside,.
  4. Slightly pound the yam... Then pour into sauce and meat mixture(it should nt be watery) mix together and form into Ball with hand,.
  5. Dip each Ball into eggs, then breadcrumbs then fry, (where there is no breadcrumbs,you can fry after dipping into eggs)..
  6. Enjoy.
